About Me
Apr 22nd, 2009 by David W. Nicholson
I am entering my fourth year as Associate Professor of Education at Stevenson University (formerly Villa Julie College), and my 11th year as a full-time professor.
I teach courses in Philosophy of Education and Social Studies Methods, and supervise field placements.
In addition, I teach film courses, host film series and screenings, and guest lecture on film and media.
My research and scholarship in the field of education focus on forms of representation, visual and media literacy, and conceptual thinking, topics on which I conduct workshops, publish articles, and present at national and international conferences. My most recent activity involves writing a chapter for a book on action research.
